C. How to go to Alas Harum
Bali Island is only accessible by air. Ngurah Rai International Airport is the only international airport that connects this island to the rest of the world. From here, you have to rent a car or take a taxi to travel to Alas Harum. This agro-tourism center is located about 20 minutes from Ubud, so it might take you about an hour to reach this area if you move directly from the airport.
1. By Online Taxi
You can easily arrive to Alas Harum from the center of Ubud by hailing a Grab scooter taxi from the Grab App. It costs only around IDR 75 thousand and takes about 15 – 20 minutes to get there.
However, returning from Fragrant Alas would be slightly more difficult. This area is notorious for not having taxis or scooters as it is far outside the center of Ubud, but we were still able to use the Grab and Gojek apps.
2. By Motor Scooter
If you happen to be unable to get Grab or Gojek that far outside Ubud, like it or not you have to be willing to take a taxi on the street and be willing to spend more money. So, instead of having to be willing to be “squeezed” that much, it’s better for you to choose the option of going up and renting a scooter and renting a scooter roaming Alone.
